The Staging House is hiring a Mover/Driver for Staging Assistance!
Responsibilities
Stage Day and De-stage Day duties include but are not limited to:
- Safe loading and unloading of furniture and accessories onto a truck or van and move between warehouse and client homes
- Book/pick up rental truck when required
- Drive rental truck or company van when required to transport furniture to/from stages
- Pulling, packing, wrapping, restocking inventory
- Installing/placing of inventory to execute design plan (hanging art, making beds, hanging towels, steaming linens, setting up lamps, polishing/Windex)
Company Warehouse Support:
- Maintain supply of necessary tools, supplies and consumables
- Perform/schedule inventory repairs and cleaning when required
- Schedule required maintenance for company vehicle. Keep fuel and levels topped up
- Clean and organize warehouse and office/bathrooms
Requirements:
- Drivers license, Commercial license an asset but not required
- Ability to drive and park a large truck or van (occasionally in tight spaces)
- Ability to handle some physical work (lifting furniture and bins, ladder, getting on and off a truck)
- Some skills with basic tools or eager to learn
- Ability to hang art or eager to learn
- Minimum two (2) work references
Pay
- $20/hour to start.
- Part-time, project-based pay.
